Event Description

Soar in for a full day of exhibit tours and history presentations at the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art at MOAS with Legacy of a Naturalist: A History Expedition. Discover the world of John James Audubon and his renowned artworks, with guest speakers UCF Associate Professor of Art History, Keri Watson - “Picturing Paradise: From John James Audubon to the Florida Highwaymen” and “Adventures with American Naturalists: On the trail with Bartram, Audubon, Burroughs and Muir” - a historical timeline with reenactor and Professor Joseph Vetter. Followed by a brief talk on "Audubon's Life and Travels" by Senior Curator of History Zach Zacharias. Guests may also enjoy a self-guided tour of Audubon's Birds of Florida exhibit. Audio Guide devices are available upon request.

 

This event is free for members or is included with museum admission. Advanced registration is required as seating is limited.
