Event Description

We invite you to join us at the Museum of Arts & Sciences to view the reinstallation of the Cuban Gallery. 

10:30am-11:30am: The Rise of The Cuban School of Art Talk & Walk with Gary R. Libby - 
Join Gary R. Libby, Cuban Art Historian, Educator, and Author, for a talk on the origins and influences of the Cuban School of Art. This talk will be followed by a book signing. Books are available for purchase in MOAS gift shop. 

Pre-registration for is strongly encouraged as space is limited. If registration is full, please call the Museum at 386-255-0285 to be placed on a waitlist with the potential for another time to be scheduled.

1:30pm: Cuban Gallery Talk & Walk with Juan Junco
Join Cuban Historian and MOAS Docent, Juan Junco, as he shares the unique history of Cuba and Batista's fascination with the Daytona Beach are. Learn why the Cuban gallery found its home at the Museum of Arts & Sciences rather than in Miami. This talk will begin in the Root Family Auditorium.
