Napoleonic sword designed by the famous French artist David. This design was issued to members of the "Ecole de Mars" (French military school in Paris). The design is refered to as a 'gladius', after the Roman sword. It dates from 1795 and is made of steel and brass, the scabbard is brass with red felt.

2nd Empire (Napoleon III) Cuirass and Helment.  Cuirass manufactured by Klingenthal in 1855 of steel and brass.  The helmet is a cuirassier or dragoon helmet, circa 1852 - 1860, made of polished steel, brass, leather and red fiber.
